ATELIER CHE
We are a Malaysian-based atelier with a specialty in lace, batik and various ethnic prints & textured fabrics. We design one-off pieces to sell in our studio, online and our selected stockist. We also custom make our limited releases for clients as well as design one-of a-kind pieces for them.
The label started out in Kuala Lumpur as a humble made-to-order business under Che Custom. In 2020, it pivoted to include ready-to-wear and renamed Atelier Che operating its studio at Dream Makers Club situated in Publika. Our garment production is mostly done in-house in the studio.
Our signature style is using and manipulating lace or fabric to accentuate the female form, with the addition of Nusantara elements. The ready-to-wear line consists of mostly artisan kebayas, dresses, resort wear and separates. Atelier Che also has a focus on 'slow fashion' and sustainability, therefore releases limited ready-to-wear pieces which can be custom made according to each client preferences and measurements at a surcharge. Our clients can rest assure their purchases are one-of-a-kind, timeless and long-lasting.
